Being Human.

The following thoughts have been inspired by one of the greatest philosophers I have ever known, Osho and George Carlin. I wouldn’t call this piece of writing as an original one because it’s the thought that matters and it’s just that I have understood a few things and decided to share it with all of you. The content might offend you because that’s how people usually react to the truth, so if you don’t like it at any point, stop reading it)

'every step in life is a lesson', yes, it is bumper sticker stuff but as far as I have come in life I have learnt that it surely does depend on how much you pay attention to life, how much you grasp and will you pass the never ending tests that life throws at you. What I’ve learnt is that the syllabus is not too much but just a little rebelling on the bases of what society has decided as to what truth is.

we all go through a lot of emotions every day, meet new people, go through new experiences and so on... but surprisingly, we have managed to drop out on our natural behaviour and accepted what our 'moral society' has decided for us. In the recent past I had a few emotional speed breakers in my life and yes I’m talking about a girl here. The problem with us was that she wanted a relationship and I wanted friendship at the end of what we had been through, which were some really beautiful moments together. This has happened to me before that I freaked out on the very utterance of the word relationship. Yes I was scared to commit, I don’t know why, I told her that I don’t trust myself but the reason was completely different.

We as a part of a society have accepted the very fact of making love a law (marriage) rather than understanding that love is the law and it will stay as the law. The whole idea of telling people and announcing is so ridiculous that now we need to remind not just others but our partners too that terming it however you want to term a relationship doesn't make it that way. If two people do have a connection which is bound to grow then it is very obvious for it to grow regardless of how you name it and when you name it. in our case, there was something and we felt it and we both agree that it was beautiful and to me there is nothing more that matters but probably in her case she did not trust me enough because I was not ready to fall in a pit made by them... that I had to 'ensure' our very being together by calling it something that it already was. We also need to understand that a human brain is neither designed for monotony nor monogamy.

One of the biggest teenage taboos existing in India at least is the fact that one should stick to one partner no matter what. This, ladies and gentlemen, is unnatural in every sense. Humans were never designed to fall for just one partner and stay with them for the rest of our lives. I know you might be thinking that what the fuck am I talking about, but we have forgotten that when we as humans had to start off the whole idea of taking responsibility of one person not until man decided to draw borders and call it as 'his' land and started working. it was only then that he started thinking and deciding for himself, what is good for him and what is bad for him, exactly like deciding his religion and actually believing that there is only one god and that was his and the rest of the gods and religions which say pretty much the same thing are to be hated, it is only then when he actually decided to kill others in the name of god, was the time when he decided that it is only one partner that he is suppose to live with and that he had an upper hand on women.

I’m not saying that it’s a bad thing to love one person throughout our life... if you do, it is perfectly fine , all I am saying is that I look at it as a very retarded behaviour and that the person who can do that has probably very little sense of creativity and adventure in his life. Love a person as much as you can , may it be for a week, a month, a year or a decade but when you know that the feeling inside has diminished, have the balls to go and say it. Be human for once and when you bid your lover a farewell, do it with grace and respect, because you loved him/her once and be grateful for all those memories (and move on).

Dreamer

to put his pen and paper
together at times
revealed what he was
to become what he wanted
each thing that he counted
on his finger tips
he became.
he became a lover
he became a friend
he became a son
but in the end
it was just the paper
that knew about
what all he became
sitting there
on the hill top
on that paper
he became.
his mouth wouldnt say a word
nor his hand would move an inch
to talk to that girl
or to go for what is worth
but on that hill top
on that paper
he became
a lover
a master
a dreamer of today.

Wehem

Ek meethi si baat
Kuch khwaabon ka saath
Badte kadam
Dagmagaate haath

Yeh dil jaanta hai
Jo sapna usne dekha
Khabon ke panno pe
Jo rang usne pheka

Woh darr hai kahin
Ki bass giru nahi
Is dil mein taakat
Itni bhee nahi

Jo chehra kehta hai
Woh dil nahi maanta
Asliyat kya hai
Khud bhee nahi jaanta

Bharosa nahi
Lekin jaane kyu
Sapne dekhta
Yeh chota sa dil

Nidarr hoke
Najaane kyu
Bharosa hai
Najaane kispe

Phir bhee woh
sehem sa gaya hai
Girne ka
wehem aa gaya hai

Bhool sa gaya
Ki paun kahaan hai
Chaadar nahi
Paun jahaan hai

Barkaraar hai tab bhee
Soch uski
Sapno ko paalna aataa hai
Shayad darr ko hee nahi
abhee jaanta hai

kya jaane wo dil
Jo sapne paalta hai
Wo darr
jis se har koi bhaagta hai
Lekin aaj woh dil sehem sa gaya hai
Jab darr ka usse wehem aa gaya hai.

Kuch baatein

Kuch baatein yeh aankhe keh jaati hain
Kuch gham yeh lamhe chor jaate hain
Ab toh tadapna bhee naseeb nahi
Jab do pal phir dil khush kar jaate hain
Jo baatein aankho si kari theen
Woh lamhe phir yaad aate hain
Woh yaad kar ke do pal woh aansu
Ham khushi se pee jaate hain.

Dooriyan.

zindagi mein gum ka daaman nahi
toh khushiyan kahaan khilengi
lehron mein badne ka saahas nahi
toh dooriyan kahaan mitengi
chaar kadam chal toh zaraa
manzil paas aati dikhegi
jab thaan lia na ruke gaa tu
tabh khushiyan bhee saath chalengi
lekin zindagi mein gam ka daaman nahi
toh khushiyan kahaan khilengi
lehro mein badne ka saahas nahi
toh dooriyan kahaan mitengi

Life as i know it.

little bubbles, little desires
big dreams, funny liars
the mind promises
but the heart breaks
the eyes reveal
but the words fake
remember all visions ?
the smile they brought
for which you worked
sacrificed and fought
are coming closer
mile by mile
nearer and clearer
widening the smile
yet the path
the tricky one
shaking stones
taking turns
trips you down and
makes you learn
at the end
when you think its done
love comes walkin
then you look at the sun
suddenly you smile
and feel the breeze
its all around you
and you are at ease
the visions blurr
the hands curl
smiles travel
kisses unfurl
the dreams lay still
where they were
waiting silently
in the far nowhere
then comes destiny
putting you down
on the chess board
where you stand like pawn
it seems the queen
has got another king
and finally you are ready
like a bird with the wings
that flies so high
through the clouds
in the sky.

A Sinner's Heart

with every step
a bold thought
and dutch courage
from the wine he bought

walking through
the mocking woods
in the dark
when the moon stood

every stone
and every turn
mapped in mind
real and firm

a mile he walked
still half way through
with lifeless staring
his fears grew

on every dead
leaf he stepped
it cried for life
then back to death

he hid his head
under his hood
comforting him
trying to seclude

at last he reached
his cozy hut
putting off
the smoking bud

he waved his hand
through the cloud
and stepped inside
shouting out loud

"look what i got
for me and you!"
the orphan snatched
the bun and chewed

sniffing the smoke
but uttering none
just gulping down
the lively bun

then he took
some fruits out
then started telling
everything about

how he stole
and who he tricked
almost caught
then how he flicked

the child didn't know
of what he spoke
but in that limited
fruit eloped

the man sipped the wine
then gave him some
so he wouldn't sing
the crying song

putting his small
stomach at rest
he child did fall
unto his bed

silent breath
a dreamless sleep
wiping all
thoughts he'd weep

the man glanced
at the sleeping child
through his red
and teary eyes

mixing memories
with his sight
of the very day
he found light

light that put
his darkness out
of loneliness
and of doubt

the child back then
was half the size
his eyes could switch
even sinners to wise

the man took him
in his arms
from the road
near the farm

when he had been
chased by some
whom he had cheated
all at once

the child was missing
a leg and an eye
he couldn't even run
from the pain and cry

the man took him
and brought him home
gave him a bath
and his hair did comb

the child didn't say
just simply smiled
coz' no one had
ever been so kind

he loved him like
his own son
till the blunt
'today' had come

he again stopped
to hear his breath
the child unknown
to the forthcoming death

he took out the bundle
of the notes well kept
put it next to
the angel bearing bed

he then bent
and kissed his eye
bidding the child
a silent goodbye

he knew his life
had reasons none
but to multiply
all wrong he had done

he wanted to die
to do good to all
he slit his wrist
his eyelids did fall

soon did come
a friend of his
panting and shaking
and watching all this

holding the wretched
letter in hand
of the suicide
the man did plan

what he saw
was both asleep
and one of them
did cold blood weep.
